With a long history in the renewable energy industry, establishing Green Stop, a forerunner in solar and charging stations in the Nordics, was not far-fetched. Nevertheless, going from wind power projects to solar and electric vehicles charging stations is in fact a shift in expertise.
CEO and founder Otto Werneskog argues, “what was happening with wind energy 15 years ago, I see again happening today with charging networks. There is a vast demand for charging stations, and we are here to answer this demand.” The idea of additionally deploying solar projects stems from the urge to be self-sustaining. “We want to produce as much (or more) energy as we distribute through our charging networks in order to ensure that we are a truly sustainable company.”
Green Stop wants to play an important role in the energy transition, therefore we collaborate with industrial partners and landowners who share our beliefs and want to help us achieve our long-term objectives.
Werneskog says, “Combatting climate change is at the forefront of Green Stop’s vision. We want to make sure our planet is habitable for generations to come and at the same time provide communities with clean energy and offer landowners a reliable long-term income alternative.”
